Let the labor and delivery department know your primary Pediatrician.  When the baby is born, the “on-call” Pediatrician will do the initial exam. Upon discharge, call and schedule your baby’s first appointment with our office within 2-3 days, and we will take care of your little one from there.

Prior to the baby being discharged home, the baby must void (pee), poop, eat well, and physically check out without any medical concerns. Once your baby meets these criteria, your little one will be sent home with you. You will then be instructed to call and schedule your first appointment for 2-3 days after discharge.

Yes, Dr. Bakerink is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

Yes, we are a strong advocate for breastfeeding. In the hospital, the nurses or lactation consultants will assist you in making sure that both you and your baby are feeding properly.  On an outpatient basis, if you have any concerns about breastfeeding, we have lactation consultants, whom we can set you up with.

A $75 no-show fee will be billed to those who do not show up to their appointment. Upon the 3rd no-show, you will be sent a warning letter, and upon the 4th no-show, you will be dismissed from the practice.

For our uninsured families, we have a flat fee $80. For nurse visits, we have a flat fee of $45.

Due to our limited availability, we currently have a 2-kid per day policy. That means if you have more than 2 siblings, we will have to schedule them on separate days. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Yes. Not all moms can breastfeed, and some parents simply want to formula feed their newborns. In this day and age there are plenty of great formulas on the market to ensure that your infant will be healthy and receive the nutrition that they need for proper growth and development.

Currently the American Academy of Pediatrics considers circumcision a recommended procedure and not a medically necessary procedure. It is felt to be more clean, reducing the chances of infection and helping to reduce the transmission of sexual diseases in adulthood. Our providers would be happy to discuss the pros and cons of the procedure with you.

Simply give us a call at 702-889-8444. If you reach us after hours, our advice line is available for existing established patients and your call will be returned within 30 minutes. We can assist you with your questions and concerns and give you guidance, or if we think that your child might need to be seen, direct you to the proper Pediatric services.

Certainly. Just give us a call and we will schedule you sometime throughout the day. Please be aware, due to the volume of appointments we get, we cannot guarantee same-day appointments. If we are unable to schedule you, we advise you to bring your child to Over the Rainbow Pediatric Urgent Care, which is located in our Henderson office.

  • Digital thermometer
  • Acetaminophen infant pain reliever drops

At Wee Care Pediatrics, we are a very strong advocate for vaccinations. We follow the vaccine schedule as supported and recommended by the Center for Disease and Control (CDC), as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics. We strongly believe that immunization is the best preventative practice to prevent serious illness when it comes to children. Vaccines are very safe and effective despite misinformation that is out there. When in doubt, speak with your doctor about any fears or questions you may have. Please click here to get the most up to date immunization schedule from the CDC.

We ask that our parents cancel within 4 hours before your scheduled appointment time. If you cancel under 4 hours, you may be subjected to a $45 cancellation fee. This is to ensure that we are able to accomodate sick patients who may need to be seen on that day.

Life happens! We offer a 15-minute grace period to attend your appointment at its scheduled time. After 15 minutes, you will be considered a no-show.

To obtain your child’s immunization record, we will first have to verify the contact information we have on file. You can do this by calling 702-889-8444. After we have verified your information, you will be able to create an account on Nevada WebIZ and access your child’s shot records online.
